Lama Khyeno

Kye!

To watch and see appearances seemingly trapping the Light

To watch and hear the cry of those illusionary beings

To watch and feel the pain and suffering born from not seeing one own’s shadow

As the very pure field of the Enlightened ones, my heart bleeds

Kye !

To watch and see Precious Dharma squandered like leaves in the wind

To watch and hear the deaf misleading discourses

To watch and feel the burning hells of delusions

As if all this truly existed, my heart bleeds

Kye

To watch and see sublime medicine turned to dust

To watch and hear the song of liberation obliterated

To watch and feel the distress of beings seemingly lost

In a sea of illusionary swords, wars and famines, my heart bleeds

Kye!

To you Precious Guru my longing calls

Empty echoes over glacial fields

The warmth of Thy holy Being

Is in every wind, waters and trees

Is never separate from me

Lama Khyeno! Lama Khyeno !

Eons after eons I call for you

Eons after eons without fail,

You appear in gazes which I keep on forgetting

Lingering scarves of rainbows over cloudless skies

I long for you

Lama Khyeno! Lama Khyeno!

There seems to be no end to these oceans of suffering

There seems to be no end to the appearances arising

There seems to be no end to the trapping of duality

Wish Fulfilling Jewel, moisture of accomplish Compassion

I long for you

E, Lama Khyeno E, Lama Khyeno!

Now the call powerfully has arisen

and clearly lit all perceived darkness

All rubbish heaps are mandalas

All murderers Kings

To your feet I bow

Lama Rang khyeno !

Now thy call is from all heard

Safely carried in the palm of Thy hand

Under the refuge you spacelessly extend

In the one sphere where rainbows are first perceived

‘Till even rainbows languishingly dissolve in deep blue sky
